In the Gaming Hut we remember our friend and colleague Darren Watts, prolific Champions designer and former head of Hero Games.
The Crime Blotter comes a little too close to home for comfort as Ken tells the story of his recent shooting.

Finally another undead bloodsucker sneaks into the Eliptony Hut, this time of the relatively recent urban legend variety, as we profile the Richmond Vampire.

Darren and I ended up scream laughing in a bar after talking about ‘BS continuity’ and how it was ‘mutant ninja turtles all the way down!’ – Miss him dearly.
Thanks for the great tribute to Darren. I still can’t imagine him being gone. Such a good friend, great designer, and wonderful person to hold a discussion. If I ever wanted to try an obscure small-press game Darren NEVER let me down. His smile was infectious.
I’m reliably informed that nothing good ever happens after 2 am. This seems a confirming data point, but I’m very glad that it turned out better than it might have.
