    Note that Billy the Kid was in the Lincoln County War (in New Mexico). The Johnson County War was in Wyoming, between the Wyoming Stock Growers Association (headquartered out of the Cheyenne Club) and locals styled (perhaps reasonably, perhaps not) as “rustlers”.

    Informative and entertaining answer, gentlemen. I didn’t know the story about the LaVey’s box, and having a solid LaVey/’60s California/Aquino/Military Intelligence connection to the Yellow Mythos opens a lot of interesting doors.
