  1. Justin Mohareb says:

Great episode as always. Can we get a list of those King in Yellow stories?

  2. Andrew Raphael says:

We don’t talk about Harold Holt disappearing much, because we make jokes about him instead, like naming a municipal swimming pool after him.

  3. John Rauchert says:

Being stuck haunting Pearson Airport would be a horror worse than death (almost as bad as having to travel through it).

  4. Phil Masters says:

The bit of Australian cryptozoology I like best is the very occasional reports of very, very large monitor lizards. It seems highly unlikely that Megalania prisca could have survived to the present day, but a one-ton komodo would be no joke.

No mention of Uluru in that segment, by the way?

  5. Rob Mammone says:

    – mention was made of teleportation and dimensional rifts, which leads to Picnic at Hanging Rock

-there are apparently Aboriginal legends of a tsunami striking the east coast, from memory about 500 years ago – perhaps a slumberer in a sunken city rolled over in his sleep?

-there’s a famous UFO case where a fellow was flying across Bass Strait, radioed in a sighting of ‘something’ in the sky, and of course, sadly, he and his plane vanished.

-creatures from the Dreamtime, such as the Rainbow Serpent, abound.

-the Brownout Murder – an American soldier who murdered 3 people in Melbourne and was executed after trial – the name is evocative enough to pin a scenario on.

-the Pine Gap joint Aust-USA facility is tasked with tracking all manner of things – some of them less than human. Or perhaps more?
